The girls' bodies were found in a ditch near the perimeter fence of RAF Lakenheath in Suffolk, about 6 miles away from Soham.

Three days after Holly and Jessica had been dumped in a ditch, the court proved that Ian Huntley returned to further dispose of the bodies by trying to set fire to them as a way of covering the smell and also to destroy evidence, as you can see from these pictures, the shoe is very much burnt and the underwear from one of the victims (not specified) are covered in blood spatter and burnt remnants.
